Adding Fences to the Supercharger Pulley

The Supercharger pulley as manufactured, is an open design with no belt containment on the sides of the pulley. In order to provide more belt containment capability to the system, containment fences have been added to the supercharger pulley. The fences consist of two aluminum rings which are heated and placed over the outer two grooves of the supercharger pulley leaving the center six grooves for the belt. The aluminum rings are heated with a propane torch by holding a ring with a pair of needle nose pliers and making orbits around the ring with the torch. After about 20 seconds of heating, the ring is slipped into position onto the supercharger pulley. Here is a photo of the end result:
