The Protek Bus Manager is an important safety device for aircraft that have critical electronics that require a protected essential bus. This would include aircraft that are running electronic fuel injection, electronic ignition, electric fuel pumps, or critical instrumentation.
The Bus Manager provides a triple redundant essential bus for all critical electronic equipment. This redundency is crucial for engines that rely on uninterupted +12V power to critical items. The Bus Manager is a self contained unit that is very easy to install and use. This adds a new level of safety to electronically controlled aircraft engines. The end user no longer has to attempt to come up with a home brew bus system for their plane. The Bus Manager has been professionally designed and over-built to faithfully provide extreme reliability.
The Bus Manager includes the following built-in functions:
- Triple redundant essential bus.
- Main bus and essential bus relays built-in.
- Simple key switch input to activate busses.
- Alternator charge isolation for two battery system.
- Automatic fuel pump monitoring and backup switching without using failure prone pressure switches.
- Selection of engine start battery: select battery 1, battery 2, or both.
- Emergency Power Switch function provides third level of essential bus protection.
- Easy to mount 6" x 4" x 2.5" fan cooled enclosure.
